His Holiness Sree Sankaracharya Swamigal of the Kanchi Kama Koti Peetam had directed that the temple should observe four Kaala poojas :-(i) Morning Abhishekam (ii) Uchikalam (iii) Evening Abhishekam and (iv) Ardhajamam. Changes in the Presidentships of the Samaj between 1973 and 1983
Shri R.Venkataraman continued as President of the Samaj till the end of January, 1980. On his appointment as a Union Minister, following high traditions, he entrusted the office of Presidentship of the Samaj in the hands of Shri T.Swaminathan I.C.S. Senior most Vice President with the designation of the Chairman, Board of Management.
